Derbyshire Institute of Sport rider Katie Toft has achieved huge success at the UCI Para-cycling Track World Championships winning 2 Golds and Silver medal in her debut championships in Apeldoorn, Netherlands.
Katie claimed her victory in the C1 3000m Individual Pursuit, beating Jieli Li of China in a time of 4:41.945 to win Gold. This title win came in Katie’s debut race at the World Para-cycling track championships and was closely followed by a silver medal in the C1 500m time trial. She then brought home Gold in the Omnium alongside cycling legend Sarah Storey by winning the Scratch race and adding 2 PBs to her list of achievments. Katie is now part of Storey Racing Team who are helping Katie continue on this epic ride!
